Carvoeiro, my favourite destination….

Carvoeiro 12Praia do Carvoeiro is situated in a sheltered cove and is just perfect for sunbathing and swimming. The beach spreads out in front of the town square, where there are many bars and cafes. There is wheelchair access to the beach and also a selection of stalls around the square should you need anything for your day at the beach. Pedaloes and jet skis are available at the beach so there is plenty to keep everyone occupied.

As Carvoeiro is so popular, it has many shops to cater for its visitors so you should be able to find what you are looking for. There is also a large supermarket on the outskirts of the town which offers a wider range of products.

There is no shortage of bars, cafes and bars in the resort so you should find something to your liking. carvoeiro_cafe Many of the bars and restaurants are within easy walking distance of the centre and offer a wide range of food. You will find many traditional Portuguese restaurants but as the resort is very family orientated, there will be plenty of options for little ones too. There is a very good  selection of pubs, music bars and discos to choose from but if you want a wider choice then head to nearby Portimao, where you will find plenty of lively music bars, nightclubs and even casinos.

carvoiero21The summer can be very busy in Carvoeiro and there are lots of festivals going on from June through to September. The festivals celebrate a whole range of things but you can certainly ensure there will be plenty of entertainment, live music and fun for all the family.
